ECNU Party Secretary Tong Shijun Meets New South Korean Consul General in Shanghai

The new South Korean consul general in Shanghai Ahn Sung-ki and consulate general Kim Kwang Jae visited our university on the morning of September 6. Tong Shijun, the party secretary of our university, met with the delegation in North Zhongshan Road campus.

Tong firstly extended a warm welcome to Ahn’s delegation, and then gave a brief introduction to them on the history, characteristics and development strategies of our university. On the understanding of “the university spirit”, Tong and Ahn had a deep communication. Ahn expressed his satisfaction on the scale of South Korean overseas students and hoped to further improve the exchange cooperation between teachers in universities of both sides. Tong said that our university is more than willing to enlarge the field and range of cooperation with South Korean universities. Both sides can exchange scholars, jointly hold the seminar and publish the scientific research collections together to further the cooperation.
