Vice President Chen Qun Met the Delegation of University of Salzburg

Delegation of University of Salzburg visited our university on May 17th, 2011. The delegation included its Vice President Professor Sonja Puntscher-Riekmann, Director of Chinese Centre Professor Brigitte Winklehner, Deputy Director of Chinese Centre Professor Michael Geistlinger, Ms. Judith Suchanek, and Mr. Julian Mueller. Our Vice President Chen Qun, Professor Caojin, Professor Guo Wenying, and Professor Ding Shuzhe gave the guests a warm welcome.

Chen Qun introduced our university and recent achievements on international exchanges and cooperation, wishing to further cooperate with them. After that, Sonja Puntscher-Riekmann introduced their university and wanted to carry out substantial cooperation after this visit. In the end of the meeting, the two parties had discussion on cultural exchanges, Chinese studies, and language education, exchanging inter-university cooperation agreements. 

University of Salzburg was founded in 1622, closed in 1810, and rebuilt in 1962.
