President of University of Dar Es Salaam in the United Republic of Tanzania Visited our University

President of University of Dar Es Salaam Mukandala and its vice President Mgaya visited our university from May 9th, 2011 to May 13th, 2011.

On May 10th, President Yu and President Mukandala both attended the founding ceremony of Joint Research Centre for Tanzanian Studies. In the ceremony, President Yu introduced the operation of the centre, pointing out that the founding of the centre is not only the successful implementation of the one-on-one cooperation between the two universities, but also provides an important platform to integrate the academic resources of both parities.

After the ceremony, Presdient Mukandala gave a brilliant lecture to our teachers and students. 

It is reported that our President Yu Lizhong had visited Africa in February, 2010. One achievement of his visit was signing a memorandum with University of Dar Es Salaam, setting the landmark of the cooperation with African universities.
