Our President Yu Lizhong attended the degree-conferring ceremony held at Loughborough University on December 20th, 2010. He got an honorary doctor degree for his excellent academic performance and great contribution in promoting the advancement of internationalization of Chinese higher education
President of Loughborough University Sir Nigel Rudd conferred the degree to Yu. Mr. Yu expressed his sincere thanks to them and introduced current situation of East China Normal University. After that, they, on behalf of each university, signed a cooperation memorandum. Loughborough University, founded in 1909, is one of the top universities in Britain.
During the visit, Yu headed a delegation to the University of Exeter, University of Manchester, and University of Liverpool.
During the visit, Yu also headed the delegation to see our exchange students at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. Karin Luckey, their chancellor, accompanied our delegation, and signed a new cooperation agreement with us.
