International Academic Conference on Philosophical Reflections on Education Reforms was held on January 10th, 2011. Our vice President Zhu Ziqiang attended it. Our vice Dean of Graduate School Fan Guorui presided it over. Many scholars took part in the conference, including Walter Feinberg、Chris Higgins、Bertran Chip Bruce, Sophie Haroutunian-Gordon, Eric Bredo, Cheng Xiangming, Shi Zhongying, Wu Kangning, Jin Shenghong, Sang Xinmin, Li Shuhua, Yin Houqing, Ding Gang, and Yang Xiaowei.
During the seminars, Professor Walter Feingberg read his “letter to President Obama” in order to illustrate issues and possible solutions in American Education Reforms. Our Professor Lu Youquan impressed the audience through his profound thoughts and humorous speaking style. Sophie Haroutunian-Gordon provided new perspectives for exploring education. Sang Xinmin raised a point for constructing study environment. Yin Houqing made suggestions for the development process of our education reform. Many a truth got unveiled in the discussion.
The conference lasted for two days. Many issues had been explored and discussed.
