Chairman of Association of American Geographers Douglas Richardson Visited our University

On the invitation of our President Yu Lizhong, vice chairman of Association of Chinese Geographers, Chairman of Association of American Geographers Douglas Richardson visited our university from January 16th to 18th this year.

                                           

On January 16th, Yu Lizhong gave Douglas Richardson a warm welcome and introduced our university and its development these years. The two parties exchanged views on strengthening cooperation. Many officials and scholars attended the meeting, including Liu Min, Gao Wei, and Zheng Xiangmin.

 

During the visit, Professor Richardson held some seminars with teachers and students from many departments and schools of our university. He also gave a report to us in our lecture hall.

 

Professor Douglas Richardson is the chairman of Association of American Geographers. He has founded GeoResearch Corp., which is in a leading position in the field of real-time GPS/GIS.
