President Hu Jintao Visited our Confucius Institute in Walter Payton College Preparatory High School

President Hu Jintao visited our Confucius Institute in Walter Payton College Preparatory High School on January 21st, 2011. Teachers and students from the school, and local officials gave him a warm welcome.

 

Confucius Institute in Walter Payton College Preparatory High School was co-founded by Chicago public school system and our university on May, 2006. It is the only Confucius school in American high schools.

 

Thanks to the reputation of our university in the fields of teacher education and international Chinese promotion, since 2007 we have held summer school in four consecutive years successfully. Moreover, we sent Chinese teachers and volunteers to teach students there every year.

 

Up to now, we have established five Confucius schools in America.
