Ten students from Kapi’olani Community College came to our university on January 17th, 2011. They will receive a four-month Chinese training program and get credits from that.
Those students from afar are very excited to learn at our university. We designed a series of enlightening courses for them. The courses were not only some open Chinese training classes, but also cultural lectures on Chinese history and other interesting topics. Meanwhile, we would provide various activities for them to experience, including calligraphy, painting, Taiji, dancing, and celebrating the Spring Festival.
Kapi’olani Community College was founded in 1946. Freeman Foundation’s initiator Mansfield Freeman set up a foundation in 1994 for it. It is aimed at strengthening friendship between Asian countries and American ones. Student listening to a Chinese class Students taken a photo with our teachers (Translated and Edited by Shui Tao.
