Director of Fairbank Center of Harvard University Visited East China Normal University

Our Chancellor Zhang Jishun met Director of Fairbank Center of Harvard University, Professor William C. Kirby. Our vice President Chen Qun and Ren Youqun also took part in the reception.

 

In the meeting, the two parties had discussion on challenges in new century, inheritance of humane education, mode and momentum of international cooperation, syllabus design and academic affairs, and school budget. Tang Yuguang, Ye Jun, Fan Guorui, Chen Lingxi, Yu Zhenhua, Liu Qin, and Luo Gang also attended the meeting. After the meeting, Professor Kirby visited our Archive Centre, which was introduced by its curator Zhu Xiaoyi.

 

Professor William C. Kirby is a well-known professor in the field of Chinese History. On behalf of Fairbank Center of Harvard University, he wanted to make a comparative study on Sino-American Higher Education Systems through this visit.
