Our Chancellor Zhang Jishun Met the delegation of the University of British Columbia

President of the University of British Columbia Stephen Toope headed a delegation to visit our university on December 10th, 2010. Our Chancellor Zhang Jishun gave them a warm welcome. Their delegation included their vice President Barbara Miles and director of Asia-Pacific Office Meimei Yiu. Our Professor Yang Guorong, Professor Zhang Chunbai, and Professor Liu Tonglan all took part in the reception.

In the meeting, Zhang Jishun introduced our history and latest achievement, looking back to and looking forward the cooperation between the two universities. Stephen Toope hoped to further cooperation in the future. After discussion, the two parties decided to establish UBC-ECNU Research Centre.

 

The University of British Columbia ranks Top 50 in the world. Their vice President John Hepburn had visited our university on June 2nd, 2010 and signed a cooperation agreement with us.
