President of University of Nebraska Professor James B. Milliken and its vice President Thomas A. Farrell visited our university on November 8th, 2010. Our President Yu Lizhong gave them a warm welcome. Leaders of our School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, School of Pre-school and Special Education, and Division of International Exchanges accompanied them. In the meeting, the two parties had discussions on preschool education and children growth, making preliminary cooperation plans.
Recently preschool education and children growth have been paid more attention worldwide. The two universities have been in advantageous position in the field. The cooperation between the two will promote the development in this area.
University of Nebraska was founded in 1869. It currently enrolls 50,000 students. Its annual budget is 1.5 billion U.S. dollars, standing in the front row of American public universities.
