Our President Yu Lizhong and vice President Chen Qun headed a delegation to visit five universities in the U.S. from September 8th, 2010 to September 18th, 2010. The five universities are New York University, Colorado State University, the University of Wisconsin, the Ohio State University, and the University of Delaware.
During the visit at New York University, we met more than thirteen senior administrators and professors, reaching the common ground on cooperation between the two universities.
The delegation attended the “China Year International Forum” at Colorado State University. President Yu made two keynote speeches for it. We also saw our undergraduate students who are participating in a cooperative program there.
On September 12th and 13th, the delegation visited the Ohio State University. President Yu and their President Gordon Gee exchanged views on many cooperative programs.
On September 14th and 15th, the delegation visited the University of Wisconsin. Their President Biddy Martin wished to further promote the student exchange program. We expressed that we shall support the program and make progress on our internationalization.
After that, we visited the University of Delaware. The two parties had discussion on many substantial programs.
