Music Exchange Delegation of East China Normal University Visited Delaware University in America Successfully

Delegation of 21 teachers and students of our Music Department of School of Arts visited Delaware University in America from April 21st to 25th. They also gave a fabulous performance there, which was a complete success.

 

Musicians of Delaware University had visited our university in June, 2008. Our visit this time further strengthened the friendship and cooperation between the two universities. Before the performance, our vice President Ren Youqun made a speech on behalf of East China Normal University, hoping that more Delaware students could go to our university to learn Chinese culture. The Chief Music Officer was Honorary Dean, Professor Hou Renyu; the art director was Professor Cao Jin of Music Department. The performance was fantastic, winning many compliments from the audience.

 

Over thirty alumni attended the concert. They sent flowers to the artists, expressing their love to the alma mater.

 

During the visit, vice President Ren met deputy Director of Academic Affairs, Havidan Rodriguez. The two parties had a discussion on teacher exchange and cooperative research in the fields of Chinese, Educational Science, Geography, Music, and Environmental Science.
