Zhang Weiping Led his Team to Make Great Progress in the Field of Quantum and Atom Optics

Professor Zhang Weiping, dean of Physics Department, led his team to make great progress in the field of Quantum and Atom Optics. The achievement has been published on the international top journal – Physical Review Letters recently. First author was Doctor Zhou Lu, ECNU.

 

It is reported that the research has been completed at ECNU. Doctor Zhou Lu is a youth teacher of ours, doing post-doc research under the supervision of Professor Zhang Weiping. The other two co-authors of the paper was Chinese scholars in Rowan University and Rice University in the U.S., who participated in the research when they were visiting scholars at ECNU.

 

As for the achievement, Professor Zhang said that it not only showed the academic excellence of the research, but also proved that our youth teachers and doctors had great potential. As long as we could provide good academic environment for them, they can make internationally outstanding findings. It is a real stimulation for the doctors, post-docs and youth teachers at ECNU.
