Professor Ye Land headed a delegation to visit Spain and Germany from October 8th to 19th. The delegation included vice dean of our School of Educational Science Xu Binyan, director of our Research Institute of International and Comparative Education Huang Zhicheng, Professor Li Zhengtao of Research Institute of Elementary Education Reform and Development, and associate Professor Li Jiacheng. They had explored profoundly with the scholars in the two countries. And the visit was a complete success.
In the morning of October 8th, Professor Ye Lan led the delegation to visit Madrid Autonomy University. They met vice dean of its School of Education Sara, Terese, and Prieto, and exchanged ideas with dean of the Madrid Confucius Institution Rodriguez, reaching common ground on further cooperation.
After that, Professor Ye Lan, Professor Li Zhengtao, and associate Professor Li Jiacheng all made reports to the students of the School of Education of Madrid Autonomy University, and answered the questions from them. Vice dean Sara, and Professor Imagurada of the School of Education of Madrid Autonomy University also made speeches on the topics of Educational Science in Europe and Social Educational Science. The meeting lasted for almost four hours, presided over by Professor Javier.
That afternoon Professor Javier organized a seminar to discuss the morning meeting’. The students showed great interest at Chinese Educational Science and Reseach.
In the morning of October 9th, accompanied by Professor Javier and vice dean Sara, the delegation visited the Special School Mana Corredentora located at Madrid, communicating with the president and other leaders of the school and watching carefully about the teaching and learning there.
On October 14th the delegation began their visit to Germany. That afternoon they met Professor Henze of the School of Education of Humboldt University.
In the morning of October 15th, vice President of Humboldt University Uwe Jen Nagel received our delegation in the president’s office. He made a warmly welcome to them, explaining their principle of being more international. He thought that the both parties had built solid academic foundation for exchanges. And the visit of the delegation would further promote the bilateral cooperation. After that, the delegation also had a discussion with the director of International Exchanges on related issues.
During the visit, the delegation made two seminars within the representatives. This visit was of great significance for further research and exchanges.
