2007 Nobel Prize Winner, Professor Patz Visited ECNU

On the invitation of Professor Zhang Shuyi of our School of Life Science, 2007 Nobel Prize Winner, Professor Jonathan Patz visited ECNU on June 15th. Chancellor Zhang Jishun and vice President Chen Qun gave him a warm welcome, hoping that we could further strengthen cooperation in the fields of ecology, environmental science, and medicine.

 

That afternoon, President Yu Lizhong granted Professor Patz Honarary Professor Certificate on behalf of ECNU.

 

After that Professor Patz made a report to our students, which was titled “New Research Findings on Health Risks from Global Climate and Ecological Change”. He also answered our questions brilliantly.

 

It is reported that Professor Patz are member of IPCC, and chairman of International Ecosystem and Health Association. He had won the 2007 Nobel Prize for Peace.
