President Yu Lizhong Visited America

Recently our President Yu Lizhong headed a delegation to visit a series of universities in America, including New York University, University of Pennsylvania, Teachers College of Columbia University, the State University of New York at Stony Brook (SB), Montclair State University, University of Wisconsin Madison, and Tulane University. Special assistant for president, Chinese Director of Confucius Institute in New York, Huang Liping, director of International Education Centre Zhao Zhongjian, and related persons in our International Exchange Division also accompanied to visit there.

 

During the visit, President Yu Lizhong met President Scott S. Cowen, vice President Mechael A. Bernstein, ex-President Payson Center of Tulane University and its vice director of CBR Professor Meffert. President Yu introduced our university, in particular, the development of our Research Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Science, hoping that the cooperation between us could be furthered.

 

This visit was a complete success. Substantial cooperation framework has been produced.
