Our Students Returned in Triumph from the 2009 American Mathematical Contest in Modeling

The result of 2009 American Mathematical Contest in Modeling has been disclosed recently. Our teams had done excellent work there. The team won the 1st prize was supervised by Wu Shujin, consisting members called Li Yanmei, Xiao Haiqing and Gao Peng. The 3 teams won the 2nd prize was under the guidance of Zhang Meiron, Xie Jingkui and Xu Jin, with students named Wang Peng, Zhang Feibiao, Fu Erjuan, Wang Guangxin, Zhun Pengyu, He Dan, Zhao Ya’nan, Luo Xinchao and Wang Meng.

 

2009 Mathematical Contest in Modeling is an international mathematical modeling competition for college students held by American Mathematical Society, American Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and National Security Agency (NSA).
