Professor David J. Skotko, dean of Department of Psychology and Consulting of University of Central Arkansasin America visited our university on the invitation of our vice President Chen Qun and dean of School of Psychology and Cognitive Science Zhou Yongdi.
In the afternoon of March 3rd, Professor Skotko gave the first lesson on psychological statistics and research design to our post-graduate and doctoral students. He explained the profound truth in a simple and thought-provoking way, which was interested by the students.
On March 5th, Professor Skotko and leaders in the school had a discussion on the subjects and cooperation. He also went into deep on curriculum design, master education and psychological assistance with the teachers in our school.
Professor David J. Skotko, got doctoral degree in Wayne State University in the U. S. in 1979, now is the dean of Department of Psychology and Consulting of University of Central Arkansas. He focuses on psych-linguistics and cognitive area. As a mentor for so many years, he is a professional in those fields. He has published many articles on Development Psychology and Psychological Records. He once won the “Outstanding Youth Prize” in America, and in 2001 he was granted “Prize of Life Achievements” by University of Central Arkansas in America.
