Deputy President of University of Virginia in America Visited ECNU

President Yu Lizhong met deputy President of University of Virginia, Professor Arthur Garson on the morning of March 10th.

During the meeting, President Yu Lizhong told them our strong subjects and outstanding cases in international exchanges. The two parties went into deep discussions on six subjects of common interest, and had a talk concerning undergraduate exchange and doctor co-training.

 

In the afternoon, Professor Garson made a brilliant speech titled “Prospects of the Reform of Medicare System in America in Obama times” to us.

 

Professor Garson, ex-dean of School of Medicine of University of Virginia, is an expert on pediatrics. During his visit, he watched our Centre of International Education and Shanghai Centre of University of Virginia.

 

We had cooperated with University of Virginia since last 1990s. The two parties are both interested in student and teacher exchanges and research cooperation.
