Famous Expert on Developmental Genetics, Professor Xu Tian Gave a Lecture in ECNU

Famous expert on Developmental Genetics, Professor Xu Tian came to our university on the invitation of our Institute of Life Science and Medicine on February 25th. He gave a lecture to us during this visit.

 

Professor Xu Tian is an internationally famous expert in the field of Developmental Genetics. He dedicates to education and scientific research. He is now the dean of Department of Genetics of Yale University in America. And he is also the director of Institute of Developmental Genetics in Fudan University, in charge of Science Commission of the Rothberg Institute for Childhood Diseases. He is an editor of the famous journals such as Cell, Disease Models and Mechanisms, and Cell Research, too. What’s more, he is former chairman of Chinese Biologist Association and Advanced Science Exchange Commission of American Academy of Sciences.

 

It is reported that he led Fudan team to establish piggyback system in 2005, which provided a new method for transgenic animals.
