International Symposium on Network and Wireless Geographic Information System Held in our University

The 8th International Symposium on Network and Wireless Geographic Information System has been held in our university these days. The symposium was undertaken by our Key Laboratory of Geographic Information Science founded by the Ministry of Education. More than 50 representatives registered in it, including many scholars from North America, South America, the Europe, Asia, and Australia.

 

The purport of this symposium was to introduce and discuss the latest application of changing wireless and internet technologies on the advanced geographic information system. Since 2002, the meeting had been held in 7 countries or areas such as Singapore, Britain, Switzerland, America, Japan and Korea, attracting a lot of scholars from over 10 countries to participated in it every time.  Its reputation in the field of geographic information science and related areas has been raised by its advanced topics, well-known speakers, high-level research reports and theses. The theses in it would be published by the famous publisher Springer.

 

During the symposium, Ren Shujiong, professor of our university and director of our key laboratory of Geographic Information Science, introduced our 3DRMS designed by us to the peers and made a keynote report to the representatives.
