Our President Yu Lizhong Attended the 3rd Global Confucius Institute Conference

Recently the 3rd Global Confucius Institute Conference had been held in the Great Hall of the People. Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, State Councillor Liu Yandong, Minister of the Education Ministry Zhou Ji and more than 900 representatives from 305 Confucius Institutes all over the world attended the opening ceremony. Our President Yu Lizhong and director of our International Exchange Division Ding Shuzhe also attended it on behalf of our university.

 

In the opening ceremony, President Yu Lizhong, representing the Chinese side of Confucius Institute, made a brilliant speech to all other people present. During the conference, he presided over the forum for presidents in and abroad and made enthusiastic conclusions in the closing ceremony, which were well-received by all representatives. Our international reputation was greatly raised in this conference.

 

This conference, titled “Confucius Institute and Global Education”, lasted for two days. Over 900 representatives had heated discussion on the quality of running Confucius Institute, management of Confucius Institute and localization of teachers teaching Chinese in foreign countries.
