2nd ECNU International Festival completed satisfactory on December 10th. This festival titled “Welcome World Expo through Showing Multi-dimensional Cultures; Consolidate Harmony by Integrating Cosmopolitan Spirit”, was aimed at providing a stage for our students in and abroad to show themselves. And understanding and communications could be further promoted in a harmonious university.
This international festival was a miniature of World Expo, not only attracting students in our university from 33 countries and areas, but also fascinate many international students from other universities.
During the culture displays, the students showed their local customs and practices focusing on various subjects, including table delicacies, clothing and handicraft. Behind the exhibition stand they became their cultural envoy, introducing their history and culture enthusiastically to the guests and answering questions patiently.
Then the international students performed many gorgeous programs with special features after their meticulous preparations. Those programs were warmly welcomed by the audience. And the festival ended as a complete success.
This festival also attracted many counsellors and consuls in Shanghai, such as consul general of Iran in Shanghai, consul general of Bulgaria, and cultural counsellor representative of Saudi Arabia.
