It is predicted by some authorities that new-type sensor network is going to take the commanding height for the technological development of information science. In order to further strengthen the ability of self-defending for the sensor network, Shanghai Micro-system and Information Techonology Research Institute under the guidance of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which holds a leading position of the Chinese sensor network research, is going to build a joint laboratory of trustworthy sensor network with our university. And depending on the advanced research of our School of Software Engineering in the field of hi-trustworthy calculation method, it will solve current problems of sensor network research. The laboratory was founded in the morning of December 16th. Our President Yu Lizhong and director of Shanghai Micro-system and Information Technology Research Institute Feng Songlin attended the ceremony. And dean of our School of Software Engineering, Academician He Jifeng presided over the founding ceremony.
During the ceremony, Yu Lizhong and Feng Songlin signed the related agreements. Meanwhile, Yu Lizhong announced the vice director of the institute Liu Haitao our visiting professor, Academician He Jifeng honorary director of the joint laboratory, our Researcher Zhu Minghua director of the joint laboratory and Researcher of the institute Wang Yingguan vice director of the laboratory.
It is reported that sensor network is an integrated autonomy. Our research on it initiated almost at the same time with the developed countries. Since 2001 the founding of Micro-system Research and Development Centre by Chinese Academy of Sciences, many scientific institutes and corporation have joined the research. After endeavours all those years, research platforms of sensor network have been established in our country. And a series of wireless sensor network achievements have been applied into actual use.
