Delegation of University of Leeds in Britain Visited our University

In the morning of November 20^th, President Yu Lizhong and vice President met delegation of University of Leeds headed by their President Professor Michael Arthur. Presidents from the 2 universities introduced each other’s history, characteristics of various disciplines and plans for the future. Then they focused on talking about the cooperation of teachers’ scientific researches, overseas training and studying for doctoral students, youth teachers and undergraduates in 985 Programs and so on. And they were both willing to further the cooperation in a practical way. Professor Michael Arthur also invited our president sincerely. He wished that our president could visit University of Leeds in due time. At that time, they could continue to discuss topics concerning cross-disciplines and innovative scientific research.

 

After the meeting, the delegation watched the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research and Research Institute of Life Science and Medicine.
