Vice President Professor Daniel Raichvarg visited our university on the invitation of our International Exchange Division, Department of Curriculum and Teaching, and Scientific Learning Research Centre from November 11th to 16th. In the morning of 12th, vice President Zhuang Huiming, president assistant Ren Youqun and some leaders and experts of our International Exchange Division and School of Educational Science, met vice President Daniel Raichvarg.
In the afternoon of 12th, Professor Daniel Raichvarg gave a lecture titled “Science in the Mass-media: What is it and What does it do?” This lecture is vivid in style and informative in content. He introduced the experience of spreading scientific knowledge to the public through fine arts, public day of research office and exhibitions according to the more than 20 year investigation carried out by University of Bourgogne. In this lecture, he played some multi-media data collaged by working record, interviews and various photos, showing the great effort of France on promoting the co-development of arts and science.
In the morning of 13th, Professor Daniel Raichvarg held a “Drama and Science Spread” Workshop. Through the interaction of playing and speaking, he explained how to design a profound scietific drama in a fascinating way to our teachers and students. In the afternoon that day, he played the complete version of Pasteur Bar in French to our teachers and students in the mulit-media room in the dormitory for international students.
