Chancellor Zhang Jishun Headed a Delegation to Visit America, Marking a New Stage of our Interantional School-Running

From October 15th to 21st, our Chancellor Zhang Jishun together with vice President Chen Qun headed a delegation of 4 people to visit Cornell University, New York University, American College Board and China Institute in America. We were aiming to strengthen the communication and cooperation with high-level American universities, and to accelerate our internationalization of school running.

Our delegation was warmly welcomed in Cornell University. President of Cornell University sent an enthusiastic letter to them, granting its vice presidents the rights to receive and have discussions with them. We signed agreements on building “East China Normal University – Cornell University Intercultural Study Centre”.

 

Our delegation had a talk with its vice presidents. We both felt satisfactory with our cooperation and communication for a long time, and reached common ground on further cooperation. Our delegation then watched its Cold-war Research Centre and MRI Laboratory.

 

Chancellor Zhang Jishun also headed our delegation to visit China Institute in America. We had a friendly talk with them and agreed on develop an Online Professional Development Research Centre (OPDRC) in the Confucius Institute in New York.
