UNESCO Seminar on Teaching Posts was held from October 19th to 20th in 2008 in Shanghai of China.

 

On behalf of our university, President Yu Lizhong gave a report on our work of teaching posts these years. He emphasized that as a high-level key university which is supported by our country, East China Normal University will base on teacher education and further promote its internationalization. Through the platform of the teaching posts of UNESCO, we not only cooperated with universities in the developed countries in Europe and America, but also work together with some training organizations in Southeast Asia and Africa. We introduced some useful experience of teacher education to the developing countries, helping them improve the quality of teacher education. We are willing to and able to make greater contribution to the global research and practice on teacher education. Recently we have been considering to establish an office of teacher education, which is aimed at integrating the our work about teaching posts, and seeking for some teacher teaching association or middle school interested in it to make joint efforts to enhance the teaching-post-building programs.
