University Leader Attending Students’ Press Conference for the 1st Time

On October 14^th the 1^st Students’ Conference hosted by the Youth League of our university was held in the Students’ Home on Minhang Campus. President Yu Lizhong and many other leaders attended the conference. More than 100 media students also took part in it. Its topic was Building University Culture and Morality.

 

When answering how the society could know ECNU better, President Yu Lizhong emphasized that it needed all ECNUer’s joint efforts.

 

Some student asked, “What on earth do university culture and morality mean”? Luo Guozhen answered that if we compared university to a healthy human being, then its morality was his spirit and backbone of a man. University should undertake the responsibility of nurturing intellectuals for the society and raising common people’s cultural quality. As for university culture, it is just like man’s clothes, which should comply with his character.
