Recently after 76 days “Passage to the North Pole”, the exploration ship “Xuelong” returned to Shanghai successfully. Our doctor student Lin Ling of 08 Grade of our School of Life Science came back with it in triumph. He has been the first student to do scientific expedition on both the North and the South Poles in the history of our university.
In this expedition, Lin Ling mainly took part in the programs like “Unique bio-resources and genetic resources in the Arctic Ocean. Together with team members, he completed samplings on 27 mobile oceanic stations, 120 fixed oceanic stations and 8 oceanic ice stations. And he also wrote a report on preliminary analysis of his researches.
