In the afternoon of September 6th, opening ceremony of our MBA had been held in the hall of Yifu Building solemnly.
Vice President, dean of our Graduate School Chen Qun, executive dean of our Graduate School Li Zhibin, deputy director of the Office of the Degree Committee Ruan Pingzhang, dean of School of Business Zhang Yongyue, its vice dean Feng Xuegang, dean of School of Finance and Statistics Wang Rongming, and its vice dean Lan Faqin, together with more than 10 representatives of teachers, attended this ceremony. It was presided by president assistant, director of our MBA centre, Professor Li Xuechang. Vice President Chen Qun addressed the ceremony enthusiastically. On behalf of our university he gave a warmly welcome to these new MBAs. He also gave a brief introduction of our history, discipline construction, quality of teachers’ and internationalization. He wished earnestly that they should have the ambition of the swan, expand their fields, strive for being a warrior and a wise man, and achieve success. He also hoped that they could bear humane spirit in mind, realize their ideals by contributing to the development of the society, and undertake the life-promoting tasks of our times. What’s more, they should love their work, improve themselves persistently, pursue remarkable deeds, contribute their own energy to the advancement of enterprises and economy, and try their best to be the founding father and avant-gardes of the management standards of our times.
After that, executive dean of our Graduate School Li Zhibin introduced the establishment and development of our MBA program, and encouraged them to be creative and to be models in our first session of MBA. Representative of School of Business, Yi Lingfeng made a speech on behalf of teachers. He told them what should be paid great attention to in MBA education. Representative of the students, Zhang Kan said that all students were responsible and confident to write down a new page of ECNU’s history. The opening ceremony ended in a high atmosphere.
ECNU had been qualified to teach MBA since 2007. This time 122 came here to study in many fields, including Finance Management, Modern Corporation Management and Decision-Making, Tourism and Exhibition Management and Real Estate Operation and Management.
After the opening ceremony, leaders and teachers of School of Business and School of Finance and Statistics have seen the students and given a comprehensive introduction of our advantages and features of Business Education.
