Recently Ministry of Education announced a decision on commending “the 4th session of Master Teachers at University”. After recommendation of Shanghai, peer reviews and evaluation through the Internet and conferences supervised by Ministry of Education and Finance, 100 teachers won the honour. Yang Guorong, Professor of our Philosophy Department, Dean of Simian Humane Research Institute, won the honour.

Since 2003, Ministry of Education and Shanghai have been organizing to select master teachers at universities, in order to praise the excellent teachers working in the forefront, to encourage professors to teach basic subjects, to simulate teachers at universities to work in the forefront and  to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Up to now 2 teachers of our university won the awards.
