In the morning of July 24th, 34 volunteers from our university for the football matches in Shanghai in the 2008 Olympic Games had taken part in the mobilizing plenary meeting and taken oaths solemnly with more than 1 thousand other volunteers for those matches. They had sworn to provide excellent service in all fields enthusiastically so as to win honors for our university and for the Olympics.
All volunteers for the football matches in Shanghai in this Olympic Games had taken part in the meeting. Since the registration of volunteer for the Olympic football matches in Shanghai started last December, about 45,000 persons, including higher school students, had signed up. Through many selections by schools and the Olympic Football Office, 34 students from our university had been chosen for work in 2 categories and 4 sub-categories, that is, volunteer service, news service, consultation service, and transportations and safety guardians.
