President Yu Lizhong encourages the free normal students: strive for knowledge; foster love; shoulder social responsibility bravely

At 9 o’clock of August 20^th, the plenary meeting of free normal students had been held in the basketball hall on Minhang campus. President Yu Lizhong, vice president Lin Zaiyong, president assistant and vice dean of Meng Xiancheng College Ren Youqun and so on attended this meeting.

Vice president Lin Zaiyong presided over the meeting. During the meeting, vice president Zhuang Huiming gave a report about various efforts made for nurturing free normal students for about one year at first. Then President Yu Lizhong made an important speech. He told 800 free normal students on Minhang campus that our country had paid great attention to free normal students. He also introduced the curriculum of our teacher education discipline, and encouraged them to strive hard for knowledge, to foster love and noble personality, to shoulder social responsibility and to make contribution to the prosperity of our country and the revitalization of our nation.

In the meeting, leaders of our university and heads of related departments explained in details on free normal student policy, further development and study of free normal students, inter-university exchanges and international communications.
