Academician of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Professor Tapas Kundu Gives a Lecture in Our University

On July 8th, 2008, on the invitation of Weng Jiemin, professor of our Life and Medical Sciences Research Institute of School of Life Science, Professor Tapas Kundu had come to our university for academic communication. He had given us a brilliant lecture titled “the Effect of Human Transcribed and Activated Protein PC4 and NPM1 on Chromatin Dynamics and on Gene Control and Transcription” on Mihang campus.

Professor Tapas Kundu is an academician of the Indian Academy of Sciences. And he is responsible for Bangalore Research Institute of Advanced Sciences, and the Molecular Biology and Genetics Lab in Jawaharlal Nehru Center, too.

This lecture related with parts of the projects of the Research Institute of Life and Medical Sciences. Through this lecture, our students have expanded their scientific knowledge of the apparent Genetics, deepened their understanding of Protein PC4 and NPM1 on Chromatin Dynamics and on Gene Control and Transcription, and systematically learned the experimental method and techniques in those researches, which are of great help for them to complete their own projects.
