Professor Yang Kai’s Project Wins the Sub-Project of the Major Project in the Field of Resources and Environment of 863 Program

Recent years many environment pollutions have frequently happened, making serious influence on the ecosystem and the environment. In order to solve the problem, the State 863 Program in the field of resources and environment starts an important project – research and application demonstration of the emergency technical system for serious environment pollution incidents. Shanghai Environmental Science Research Institute, which is a responsible unit for the project, undertakes the application demonstration part – the comprehensive demonstration of the emergency techniques for the serious environment pollution incidents in metropolis. Professor Yang Kai and associate Professor Lin Fengchun of our School of Resources and Environmental Science lead a team for one of the sub-projects – research on establishing a multi-level and multi-type pre-scheme emergency system to cope with the serious environment pollution incidents in metropolis.
