From June 21 to 30, our deputy director of the President’s Office Tang Tao, one of the 8 people delegation, the Chinese Elite Youth Delegation, visited Spain on the invitation of Sino-Spain fund in Spain. During the visit, he received the interviews with the Spain’s crown prince Felipe and the honorary chairman of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Samaranch.
Tang Tao’s visit to Spain had been recommended by the Author Association of Spain. Before that, the president of the Asia-Pacific region of this association Ms. Maria had recommended Tang Tao’s works, such as Details are Paradise, Career Advantages, and Walking along Yangzi River, to the people in Spain. And she had invited many Spanish experts to write prefaces.
During the visit, accompanied by the secretary of the Asia-Pacific Department of the Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry Salaleach and deputy board chairman of Sino-Spain fund board of directors Mr. Valencia, the delegation visited the headquarters of the largest incorporations in Spain, such as INDRA hi-tech corporation, PRISA press group, Santander Bank, and Tele-communication corporation of Spain.
During the visit, the delegation had talks with the minister of the Ministry of Government Equality of Spain and many senior officials in the Municipal governments of Madrid and Barcelona. They discussed on promotion of the City Brand, gender equality and plans for tourism. Meanwhile, the delegation had a look at the famous cultural institutions in Spain, such as Picasso Museum which is headquarter of Saavedra Academy, and Zaragoza’s water-themed World Expo.
