Dong Haichuan, a sophomore at ECNU, had little experience in hardware design prior to the competition. Thus, during the winter vacation, he took the initiative to participate in the senior intensive training in advance, acquiring his excellent talent and knowledge from the embedded software programming training program. He was mainly responsible for writing software code for the team.
As a junior student, Huang Simin has studied some theoretical knowledge of circuits, hence she mainly undertook the design, simulation and production of hardware circuits for the team. While Wang Haiyuan was in charge of the framework of hardware and software design and undertook a the rigorous work in the synthesis process. With reasonable division of labor and tacit cooperation, the three students completed the final product with ease under the high-pressure and high-intensity competition environment.
Jointly initiated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest is one of the largest competitions in the field of electronic information at the collegiate level in China. The competition system adopts the form of a semi-closed proposition. Students have to complete the engineering system and participate in the final work test within 6 days and 5 nights. With a high degree of difficulty and wide-range coverage, the contest emphasizes high requirements for the students’ practical design skills and teamwork capabilities. Moreover, it is a critical starting point for many rising stars in the field of electronic design, boosting them toward a successful path of professional development.
