ECNU and EduHK signed an agreement to co-establish an Artificial Intelligence Education Center

On June 21, Qian Xuhong, president of East China Normal University (ECNU) met with a delegation led by Li Zijian, president of the Education University of Hong Kong (EduHk).

At the meeting, Qian Xuhong and Li Zijian jointly signed the "Artificial Intelligence Education Center Cooperation Agreement" on behalf of the two universities. The two universities will leverage their respective strengths and combine with national needs to carry out joint research on artificial intelligence education and doctoral exchange programs.

The Education University of Hong Kong is a publicly funded tertiary institution dedicated to the advancement of learning and teaching, through a diverse offering of academic and research programmes on teacher education and complementary social sciences and humanities disciplines. In the 2024 QS World University Rankings, the Education University of Hong Kong ranked 20th globally by subject: education & training. The cooperation between East China Normal University and the Education University of Hong Kong has been ongoing for 20 years, with close interaction and in-depth exchanges. Both universities are currently members of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Universities Alliance and initiators of the Artificial Intelligence and Education Futures Alliance.
