On November 21, the Yangtze-Rhine-Danube Regional Dialogue was held at East China Normal University (ECNU), jointly organized by ECNU and the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
The dialogue, with the theme of "Exchange and Cooperation Among River Basins and Deltas," delved into the socio-economic development, and cooperation and exchange mechanisms of the Yangtze, Rhine, and Danube river basins. Participants explored new opportunities for collaboration and jointly drafted a grand blueprint for sustainable development.
Government representatives, scientists, entrepreneurs, and relevant organizations engaged in interactive exchanges, covering challenges and countermeasures in socio-economic development, river basin planning, ecological protection, shipping, disaster prevention and mitigation, and other aspects of major river basins. Furthermore, discussions focused on leveraging the strengths of cities along the three river basins to establish cooperation mechanisms in culture, education, tourism, science and innovation, sports, and youth exchanges.
This event provided a platform for in-depth dialogue and collaboration, aiming to promote sustainable development and strengthen ties among the Yangtze, Rhine, and Danube river basins.
