ECNU Pure International Scholarly Communication Platform
On behalf of ECNU, Lei Qili extended a warm welcome to the Elsevier delegation. He noted that ECNU has gradually established cooperation with Elsevier since 2018, with several high-level exchanges in recent years. At the end of last year, ECNU and Elsevier reached an agreement on collaboration around the comprehensive Research Intelligence solution.
ECNU looks forward to deepening cooperation with Elsevier in academic publishing, research capacity building, and international scholarly communication. By leveraging excellence in research management and disciplinary analysis, ECNU aims to accelerate cross-disciplinary integration and further empower its “Double First-Class” initiative.

Mr Crisfulla expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of ECNU’s outstanding achievements in recent years in terms of research output, academic quality, highly-cited scholars, and industry collaboration.
He emphasized that Elsevier hopes to continue leveraging its global expertise in publishing and data services, promoting the use of platforms and resources such as Pure to help enhance ECNU’s international influence, and working together to contribute to global academia and scientific frontiers.

Both parties witnessed the official launch of the ECNU Pure International Scholarly Communication Platform.

The first phase focuses on showcasing ECNU schools, faculties, and scholars with a high volume of international publications. Going forward, the platform will further integrate with the SciVal research intelligence system for iterative upgrades. It will also strengthen the university’s international reputation, promote the global visibility of research outputs and scholars, and support organized disciplinary analysis, talent discovery, and evaluation.
During the meeting, Elsevier’s Research Management team delivered a presentation on the application of Pure, SciVal system, and Scopus AI in areas such as international scholar profiling, interdisciplinary exploration, and organized research.
