On November 20th, the Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition by faculty of East China Normal University, Shanghai Maritime University, Shanghai Ocean University, Shanghai University of Electric Power, Shanghai Dianji University, Shanghai Jianqiao University opened at the Dishui Lake Culture and Art Center in the Lingang New Area. This exhibition is not only the first in-depth practice of cultural co-construction among universities in Lingang, but also marks a new starting point for six universities to pursue coordinated development and jointly write the glorious chapters of the era, with art as the link.
East China Normal University actively led five other universities in Lingang to take brush and ink as bridges, and metal and stone as voices, promoting the solid implementation of the regional university cultural co-construction mechanism. The exhibition brings together 112 excellent calligraphy and seal carving works, with themes focusing on the spirit of the era, the development of Lingang and the sentiments of educators. It fully demonstrates the mission and responsibility of university faculty to "educate people with culture and nurture people with beauty".
This exhibition will be open to the public until December 20, 2025. During this period, citizens can not only appreciate the exquisite craftsmanship of brush and ink by university faculty, but also experience the production of seal carving techniques themselves, and feel the charm of traditional culture in the resonance of metal, stone, calligraphy and rhyme.
